Updated HELCOM-Baltic Earth Climate Change Fact Sheet available now!

In a collaboration between HELCOM and Baltic Earth, the Climate Change Fact Sheet has now been updated with several new parameters.

EN CLIME, the Baltic Sea Expert Network on Climate Change, has now updated the Climate Change Fact Sheet of 2021, with 6 new or replaced parameter descriptions:

- Carbon uptake
- Acidification
- Biofouling
- Harmful Algal Blooms
- Marine litter
- Marine and coastal ecosystem services

This Fact Sheet provides the latest scientific knowledge on how climate change is affecting
the Baltic Sea in a concise format. It aims at tracking advances in the understanding of how climate change impacts the state of marine systems, drawing on the best available science for the region, to make this expertise available to and open up for closer dialogue with policy makers.

The Fact Sheet is a continuing effort, and updates with new and updated parameters will be published every few years.
